Dr. Adeuja completed his post-graduate medical training in General Practice in England. He practiced as a Family Physician in a busy clinic in rural England before relocating to Alberta with his wife and 3 boys.
He has been practicing in Cochrane, Alberta since 2016. He was awarded Readers Choice Bronze in 2017 and Gold in 2019 for Best Medical Doctor in Cochrane.
When he is not working, he enjoys cycling, playing golf, travelling, and spending time with his lovely family. Dr. Adeuja is passionate about providing exceptional quality care to his patients. He and his team would like to welcome you to Sunset Ridge Medical Clinic.
Dr. Khalida Karimova

Family Physician
Dr. Karimova received her medical degree and completed a Family Medicine residency in Russia. Before that, she trained as an ENT specialist and, earlier in her career, earned a degree in Nursing.
In Canada, Dr. Karimova has gained diverse experience in rural Family Medicine and ER practice. She is a strong advocate for a publicly funded healthcare system and enjoys collaborating with her colleagues to empower patients and improve their overall health.
Her special interests include performing various minor surgical procedures, IUD and contraceptive implant insertions, pessary fittings, and Botox injections for chronic migraines and axillary hyperhidrosis.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Karimova is married and has one son. She values family time and enjoys traveling, skiing, and hiking in her free time.
Dr. Leena El-Isa
Family Physician
Dr. El-Isa completed her medical education at the University of Jordan. She practiced rural medicine within Alberta focusing on family medicine and ER. Serving her new community and working with her patients to create individualized treatment plans and healthier lifestyle choices, is what she finds most rewarding. She is passionate about family medicine because of the variances it could bring to the practice.
During her spare time, she enjoys learning about and playing golf, swimming and photography. She is married and has two children, and enjoys spending time with her young family.
Dr. Mias Van Der Westhuyzen (Dr. West)
MD, LMCC
Family Physician

Dr. West grew up in British Columbia and completed medical studies at Stellenbosch University and postgraduate training at Groote Schuur Hospital in South Africa.
Practicing in family medicine, he has a keen interest in men's health, preventive and longevity-based medicine, and holds additional expertise in aesthetic medicine.
Outside of his practice, Dr. West maintains an active lifestyle with hobbies like snowboarding, surfing, and water polo. Married, he enjoys quality time with his wife and pets. A dedicated supporter of Liverpool Football Club, Dr. West embodies the ‘You'll never walk alone' spirit both in his medical profession and as a loyal fan.

Dr. Etiowo Ekanem

Dr. Ekanem is a seasoned Family Physician with over 14 years of experience in inner-city, suburban and urgent care clinics in Northampton, England. He completed his postgraduate medical training
in the UK(Glasgow, Scotland).
In addition to his primary specialization, Dr. Ekanem has furthered his expertise with a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. His clinical interests span across a range of disciplines, notably Cardiovascular medicine, Diabetes, and Men's health. He is well-regarded for his comprehensive, caring and patient-centered approach, always striving to offer high quality care whilst aiming to empower the patient.
Outside the realms of medicine, Dr. Ekanem is an avid sports enthusiast. Football, Cycling, and Swimming are among his favourite activities. A keen traveller, he loves exploring new destinations and cultures. Above all, he treasures the moments spent with his beloved
family.

Dr Adeyemi is a Family Physician from the UK. He completed his family medicine residency training in Dorset, England and has worked as a doctor for the last 19 years.
His expertise and experience cuts across various specialties of General Practice. He specialises in women’s health, men’s health, elderly medicine, child health, dermatology, musculoskeletal disorders and mental health disorders.
Dr Adeyemi loves family practice and enjoys caring for his patients. He is passionate about his work and most especially the care of his patients and their families.
His interests outside of work include hiking, cycling, spending time with his family and watching his favourite football team, Arsenal FC.
Dr. Richard Archibong

Dr Archibong completed his post-graduate training in General Practice in England and practiced in the West Midlands and North Wales regions before relocating to Alberta.
He has a special interest in medical care for children, with prior specialty training and career as a Paediatrician. He worked in this field for 12 years before making the switch to General Practice.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with his lovely family, hanging out with friends, taking long walks while listening to Audiobooks and hitting the gym occasionally. He is adventurous and looking forward to taking on the new experiences Alberta and Canada have in store.
Dr. Gertrude Agbedeyi

Dr Agbedeyi is a UK trained Family Physician who loves Family Medicine because of the relationship and continuity of care it affords her to have with her patients. She values and is passionate about providing excellent quality of care to all her patients.
Before retraining as a Family Physician she qualified as a Paediatrician in her home country Nigeria and worked in this field in the UK for almost 3 years. Dr Agbedeyi has special interests in children and women’s health.
Outside work she loves spending time with her family and friends at home or in the outdoors, visiting famous landmarks, watching detective series and snuggling up with a good book at other times.
